Like what Rick Warren said: Discouragement is such a dreaded disease, why? Because (1) it’s universal (2) recurring (3) highly contagious.

There are 4F’s that caused discouragement:

Fatigue is the number one cause, and it often happens right about the midpoint. Fatigue in a sense of physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted.

Frustration is another cause. We are discouraged because of rubbish in life- those things that get in our way, the interruptions that keep us from accomplishing our goals.

Failure is the third cause of discouragement. We were unable to finish our task as quickly as we had originally planned and the result, our confidence went down the tubes.

Fear is the fourth reason why people get discouraged. We fear criticism and embarrassment which in time clearly prevent us from growing.

Going back with the first stanza, discouragement is common. All of us get discouraged, there’s no exemption. Meaning, even the richest man in the universe has frustrations at some time. The bravest army had failed battle. The most powerful on earth has its fears.

The recurrences of it – may caused so much pain, until you finally felt that you are totally burned out. Then you will start losing your hope, guts and confidence. Once you have felt that you are totally helpless, other people will also discouraged because of your  discouragement.

Sometimes it makes me feel become less of a person when somebody measures my ability but there are one hundred ways to improve to  be much better than they are.

When my marriage life was on the rocks, it shakes my soul and had a fear for my kids to have a broken family. But doing my best as a wife and as a mom is enough for me to believed that everything happens for a reason.

Any problem turned as a frustration, when it is not properly resolved. At times you are disappointed, you get hurt.   When you become impulsive, you will be out of focus.  Great people are ordinary people with extra ordinary amounts of persistence. They usually never give up.

Again Warren said “When you get discouraged, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you are doing the wrong thing: you can be doing the right thing in the wrong way”.

There are 3R’s to conquer discouragement: Reorganize your life, devise a new approach. “Do not yield to discouragement without a fight”. Resist discouragement; don’t give up on your goals. Finally Remember GOD. In times of difficulties,   HE is actually carrying us  to make us feel that we need HIM as our Personal Savior.
